Box Score CARROLLTON, Ga. --- The University of West Florida women's soccer team excelled over West Georgia in a conference matchup on the road. The Argos took a 4-0 win that improves them to 12-1-1 overall, 9-1 GSC.

Starters
Ahnalie Layman and
Emma Beltz led the team as they contributed to the opening pair of Argo goals that occurred in the first 10 minutes.

At the seven-minute mark, UWF set up for a corner kick. Layman placed the kick in the front post where Beltz was set. Before the ball hit the ground, Beltz flicked the ball past the keeper on a one-touch.

Two minutes later, the duo did it again to extend the lead to 2-0.

In the ninth minute, Layman dribbled down the edge of the 18-yard box while Beltz joined her on the run. Beltz's movement put West Georgia's defense out of place and allowed Layman to hit a simple cross along the box for Beltz to finish.

Beltz now leads the team with Swinton for eight goals each – tied with each other for third most in the GSC.

UWF tallied a third goal just before the first half came to a close. A mistake in West Georgia's back line turned into a goal-scoring opportunity for
Jade Euell. This was her second goal of the season.

Shortly after the start of the second half, UWF put in another goal.
Emilie Dueck Doerkesen was tripped in the box that awarded the Argos a penalty kick.
Mya Swinton stepped up to take it and increased her total goals on the season to eight.

Swinton and Beltz lead the team with eight goal apiece – tied with each other for third most in the GSC.

The Argos head over the Valdosta State's home territory for their final away conference game of the season. Kick off is set for 1:00 p.m. ET/Noon CT on Sunday, Oct. 22.
