ABOUT UWF
• UWF bounced back from a 10-6 loss at West Alabama two weeks ago with a 24-21 win on the road against previously unbeaten Delta State last week. UWF erased a 21-10 halftime deficit in winning in Cleveland for the third-consecutive time.
• The Argos lead the GSC and rank 20th in the country in total defense, allowing just 265 yards and 14.5 points per game.
• On offense, UWF averages 31.1 points and 420 yards per game, including tallying at least 35 points in all three home games thus far.
• UWF is second in the GSC in passing offense with 290 ypg. VSU is first with 306.5 ypg.
ABOUT VALDOSTA STATE
• VSU comes into the game 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in GSC play. The Blazers lone loss was a 49-25 setback to Delta State three weeks ago.
• The Blazers average 37.5 points per game while holding opponents to 20.4 ppg. They are putting up 306 yards passing and 152 on the ground.
• QB Sammy Edwards has thrown for 2,340 yards (292.5 ypg) on 70 percent completion rate with 18 TD and seven interceptions. RB Eric Watts and Isaiah Flowers each have over 50 carries and have combined for 80 yards per game and 10 TD.
SERIES HISTORY WITH THE BLAZERS
• VSU leads the all-time series 4-3 but the Argos have won the last three contests. The Blazers have lost four-consecutive to a team just nine times in their history and not since 2000.
