WINGATE, NC - The UWF Men's Soccer Team traveled to Wingate, North Carolina to compete in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA tournament. The Argos were seeded #6 and will face the #3 Wingate University in the opening round of Super Region 2. Wingate will host the opening rounds and the winner will face the winner of Lynn and Florida Tech.
The Argos are set to kick off at 3:00pm ET at Pride Park at Wingate University.

The Argos are making their ninth NCAA appearance and looking to make a run after their successful 2023 regular season. After capturing the GSC Championship, UWF is heading into the match with a 11-1-5 record.
West Florida is currently ranked #7 in the nation in goals averaging 2.82 goals per game.
In the region, Limestone is ranked first, ahead of Florida Tech, Wingate, Barry, and Lincoln Memorial. West Florida is seeded sixth in the regional, with Chowan, Lenoir-Rhyne, Clayton State, and Lynn completing the field.
About Wingate
Two SAC Defensive Players of the Year lead the Bulldogs. Owen Marshall took home the trophy the previous season, while Pedro Santos took home the trophy this year. First team All-SAC honors went to goalkeeper Aleksa Janjic, while third team honors went to defender Dennis Hamzic.
Pablo Pozos, the first team all-conference selection and the team's freshman of the year, leads the Bulldogs with nine goals and six assists for a team-high 24 points. Kosi Mafela, a second team All-SAC pick, has six goals.
