• The Argos are 18th nationally in Red Zone Defense, allowing a 66 pct. success rate. On offense, UWF ranks 65th with an 81.0 pct. Red Zone success rate, scoring 29 TD & 5 FG in 42 trips.
• Senior QB Peewee Jarrett is fourth in the GSC (53rd in NCAA) in completion percentage (59.3%), and 15th in passing efficiency, 21st in passing yards per game (245.6) and 38th in completions per game (16.5).
• Senior WR John Jiles averages 109.9 receiving yards per game and 19.8 yards per reception.

UWF FOOTBALL 101
• The 2023 campaign is the seventh for UWF in its history.
• Kaleb Nobles was hired as the second head coach in Dec. of 2022. 
• UWF has won a share of the Gulf South Conference title in 2021 & 2022.
• UWF has made five appearances in the NCAA Playoffs (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 & 2023).
• The Argonauts have won Super Region 2 & reached the semifinals three times (2017, 2019, 2022).
• UWF won the 2019 national championship and was the runner-up in 2017.

UWF POSTSEASON 101
• UWF is making its fifth appearance in the NCAA Division 2 Playoffs, with previous showings in 2017, 2019, 2021 & 2022.
• UWF is 12-3 in postseason play and an amazing 9-1 in road contests.
• The Argonauts went 4-1 in 2017 and lost to Texas A&M Commerce in the national championship game. UWF became the fasted startup to reach the postseason in NCAA history.
• Two years later, they turned in arguably the greatest postseason run of all time on their way to the national title. UWF defeated four undefeated teams and three number 1 seeds - both for the first time in NCAA D2 history. UWF's title in its fourth season of play matched Georgia Southern in 1985 (I-AA) as the fastest to win a title since starting a program - 4 years.
• In 2021, UWF fell to Newberry, 33-30 in overtime at Blue Wahoos Stadium in downtown Pensacola. The Argos led 27-14 early in the fourth quarter.
• A year ago, UWF collected an opening round win over Limestone before a thrilling 38-27 road win over Delta State in the second round. The Argos returned home for the Super Region 2 title game with Wingate, and put on a defensive masterpiece with four defensive TDs en route to  a 45-14 win, matching its largest postseason margin of victory in school history. The Argos fell to Ferris State in the national semifinals, but joined the Bulldogs as the onyl teams to reach the semis at least three times in the last four tournaments.

UWF LEADS DIVISION 2 IN POSTSEASON WIN PCT.
• Following the 2019 run to the national championship, UWF took over the top spot in the NCAA Division 2 Record Book as the winningest postseason team in the division's history with a minimum of 10 games. The Argos are now 12-3 with a .800 winning pct.

GSC IN THE POSTSEASON
• In the last six postseasons, seven different Gulf South Conference teams have made the NCAA Playoffs.
• A GSC school has won a D2 best 12 national championships, with UWF claiming the most recent one in 2019. The GSC put a team in the national title game five-consecutive years from 2016-19, with three different schools in the first three years - North Alabama in 2016, UWF in 2017 & 2019 and Valdosta State in 2018 - marking the first time in D2 history that three different teams from the same conference made the title game in consecutive seasons.
• A GSC school has won the NCAA Division II Super Region 2, formerly the Southeast Region, crown 20 times in the last 21 seasons.
• Since Division II went to regionalization in 1990, a GSC school has advanced to the national semifinals 25 times in 32 seasons.

SERIES HISTORY
• UWF leads the series 5-3 following the 24-21 win at Delta State four weeks ago.
• UWF is 4-1 in Cleveland and won the last three in 2018, 2021, 2022 & 2023.
• Four weeks ago, UWF trailed 21-10 at the half before outscoring DSU 14-0 in the second half.
• Last season, Delta State won a shootout in Pensacola in week four, 45-42 in double overtime before UWF claimed a 38-27 road victory in the NCAA Second Round, outscoring the Statesmen 28-3 in the fourth quarter.
• In 2021, the Statesmen grabbed a 30-10 halftime lead before the Argos outscored them 29-3 for a 39-33 victory, completing the largest comeback in program history.
