Argos Host Spring Hill on Tuesday Evening

UWF defeated SHC in Mobile last Wednesday

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF women's basketball team will play host to Spring Hill on Tuesday evening. Tip-off at the UWF Field House is set for 5:30 p.m.

BLUE OUT: All fans are encouraged to wear Blue for the 'Blue Out' theme.

ABOUT UWF: UWF is 2-1 on the season following last week's road win over Spring Hill. The Argos are averaging 68.7 points per game on 39.9 percent shooting. They have made 23 3-pointers for 7.7 per game. UWF has out-rebounded all three opponents by either eight or nine boards each game.

Brooke Kane is averaging 16.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She is shooting 41 percent overall and has made 5-of-10 from outside. Ty Bostick has posted 11.7 points and 6.0 rebounds, while matching Kane with five 3-pointers.

ABOUT SHC: The Badgers are 0-2 on the season, falling to UWF 71-59 and Eckerd 63-41. Marta Duda leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.0 points per game. Point guard Kellyn Hunter averages 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

SERIES HISTORY: UWF leads the series 18-2 and has won the last five overall. The Argos have won all nine played in Pensacola, with the last meeting coming exactly two years ago.
UWF won last week's contest 71-59, connecting on 40 percent of it's shots in the game but increased it's proficiency to a 45 percent clip in the second half. The Argonauts made it rain inside the Outlaw Recreation Center with eight 3-pointers and out-rebounded the Badgers 39-30. Brooke Kane had all 18 of her points in the second half to allow UWF to pull away.

WHAT'S NEXT: UWF will open Gulf South Conference play on Saturday at Shorter and Monday at Lee.
