PENSACOLA, Fla. – The UWF women's basketball team enters the final weekend of the regular season playing for GSC seeding and hoping to improve upon Wednesday's NCAA Regional Rankings. The Argonauts will play at UAH on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and West Alabama on Saturday at 2 p.m.
ABOUT THE ARGOS
* UWF is 19-6 overall and 18-4 in Gulf South Conference play … The Argonauts have won their last four games and are 14-1 in the last 15. ... UWF is also 9-3 on the road and 8-1 in its last nine.
* The Argos are averaging 68.5 ppg as a team on 42.1 pct. shooting ... They are allowing 59.5 ppg on 35.7 pct. shooting.

Jaclyn Jarnot (Jar-knit) averages a double-double with 16.4 points per game and 13.1 rebounds per game (1st in GSC, 5th in NCAA). Her 10.6 defensive boards per contest are second in the country. She has registered a league-high 17 double-doubles which also ranks third in the country.

Zoe Piller (Zoey) averages 15.5 ppg and 9.3 rpg with 12 double-doubles. She leads the GSC and is 22rd in the NCAA with a 55.0 FG pct. She pulls down 3.9 offensive rebounds per game which is first in the GSC and 12th in the NCAA.
JARNOT MATCHES PILLER WITH GSC-HIGH THREE PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARDS

Jaclyn Jarnot was named the GSC Player of the Week on Tuesday after averaging 19.5 points on 55 percent shooting with 17.0 rebounds in games against AUM and Montevallo.
* Against AUM on Thursday she had 25 points, 19 rebounds, five steals and two blocks, and shot 11-of-16 from the floor. She added 14 points and 15 boards two days later agaonst UM on Senior Day.
UWF NINTH IN LATEST NCAA REGIONAL RANKING
* UWF came in at No. 9 in this week's NCAA South Region Ranking. The Argos are one of four GSC teams, with Union, Lee and Valdosta State sitting at Nos. 3-5.

ABOUT ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE
* UAH is 8-18 overall and 8-14 in the GSC. The Chargers are sitting just outside the top eight of the GSC standings.
* Haley Nichols ranks in the top 15 in the league in scoring with 12.4 ppg (13th) and 8.1 rpg (5th). She has eight double-doubles which is tied for fourth most in the league.
* UAH leads the GSC in fewest fouls per game, averaging just 14.8 infractions per game. UWF is second at 15.2.
UWF-UAH SERIES HISTORY
* UWF is 34-27 all-time versus UAH, including a 17-12 mark on the road.The Argos have won three-consecutive and seven of the last eight against the Chargers.
* In recent history at Spragins Hall, the Argos have won the last four and five of the last six.
ABOUT WEST ALABAMA
* UWA is 13-13 overall and 10-12 in the GSC entering Thursady's game against Valdosta State. The Tigers average 61 points per game and limit their opponents to 59.3 points per game.
* Bria Dent averages 18.5 ppg, ranking second in the GSC and 30th nationally. She averages 10.8 rpg, just behind Jarnot and ninth in the country.
* UWA averages 37.3 rebounds per game, ranking second in the GSC behind UWF's 44.0 mark. The Argos held a 44-32 edge on the glass in the first meeting.
UWF-UWA SERIES HISTORY
* UWF is 31-26 against UWA since joining the NCAA and GSC in the 1994-95 season. The Argos are 9-17 at Pruitt Hall against the Tigers but are 5-2 in the last seven matchups in Livingston.
* UWF won the first meeting this season, 52-43 in Pensacola on Jan. 5.
Zoe Piller had 15 and 15 as the Argos outscored the Tigers 18-11 in the fourth quarter.
* UWF has only scored 80 or more points six times in the series and just once since the 2010 season.
