With the losses, the Argonauts are now 8-12 overall.

Chelsea Dumas and
Madelyn Vasquez each hit .429, going 3-for-7.
Hannah Harper also had three hits, going 3-for-8.
With a hit in each game of the doubleheader,
Hannah Harper stretched her on-base streak to 13 games.
The series wraps up on Sunday at 1 pm at the UWF Softball Complex.
GAME 1: UWF 1, MC 7
It was a pitcher's duel between
Montana Young and Mississippi College's Camryn Bailey, and the pair did not allow a run through the first three innings of action.
While MC put together a few threats against Young, the junior had little trouble getting out of those jams. She also had help from the top defense in the GSC –
Chelsea Dumas turned a 4-3 double play in the third and
Kayla Mayo made an inning-ending diving catch on a fly ball in the fourth.
Jessica Ford lifted a double off the wall in center field in the top of the fourth, and Dumas hit a hard line drive down the left field line to bring in Ford a few batters later.
MC's McCall Lee put the Lady Choctaws ahead in the top of the fifth with a double to right-center, scoring two runners and putting the score at 2-1.
Mississippi College added a pair of home runs in the seventh to stretch the lead to 7-1.
GAME 2: UWF 10, MC 12 (8 innings)
It was the Lady Choctaws in Game 2 who got out to a quick lead, scoring three in the first inning. MC added another run in the second, stretching its lead to 4-0 with a home run.
But West Florida did not go away easily and the Argonauts evened the game with four runs in the bottom of the second.
Laurynn Boggs drove a double to center field to score
Kelsey Hodges,
Bella Holliday brought in two with a sharp single to center, and
Madelyn Vasquez tied the game with a double off the wall.
MC added two more in the top of the third, but Hodges got those runs right back with her second home run of the year. The round-tripper brought in
Jessica Ford and tied the game at 6-6.
After Dumas reached on an error,
Emma Brice moved her to third with a fly ball, and Boggs brought her in with a sacrifice fly to shallow right field, giving UWF the 7-6 lead.
The scoring continued in the fourth, when Mississippi College struck with a grand slam to take a 10-7 lead. But back-to-back doubles from Vasquez and
Erin Moon put UWF back in position to score quickly.
Hodges and Dumas followed those doubles each with a grounder that scored a run, putting UWF back with a run at 10-9.
After
Jeya Prasad held MC scoreless in the fifth, Vasquez doubled again to left-center, scoring Boggs and tying the game at 10-10.
Prasad was sharp after the fourth, issuing just two walks and not allowing a hit over the next three innings.
But Mississippi College jumped ahead with a Jaycee Dill home run in the top of the eighth, putting MC ahead 11-10 before the Lady Choctaws stretched the lead to the final 12-10.
