PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University West Florida baseball team takes the series win, 2-1, after winning in Saturday's doubleheader at home. The Argos got a 10-run rule in game one to finish in seven innings and followed with a 2-0 defeat over No. 14 Montevallo.

Preston Moore got the first Argonaut hit of the day in the second inning. He was driven in to score by a
True Fontenot RBI.
Jadon Fryman extended the lead to 2-0 on an RBI infield single.

The Falcons responded with a two RBI single in the top of the third to even the score at two-all.

UWF answered back with two more runs themselves in the bottom half of the inning.
Trent Jeffcoat shot an RBI triple and was driven in to score on a
Mark Townsend RBI single. This was Jeffcoat's second triple of the season.

Jeffcoat hit an RBI single in the fifth inning and sent Fryman in to score.
Darrien McDowell finished the inning with a solid two RBI single to take a 7-2 lead.

The Argos held the Falcons to one hit in the sixth inning, whereas UWF scored five runs on six hits. Jeffcoat earned another RBI single, and second run was scored unearned off a Falcon error. The Argos followed with two doubles – Townsend hit a two RBI double along with an RBI double by Moore.

Sitting at a 12-2 lead, UWF was three outs away from succeeding a 10-run rule and ending in seven innings. The Falcons managed to hit a two-run homer and bring the score to 12-4.

Now entering the bottom of the seventh, Fryman shot one out of the field and answered with a two-rum homer himself to bring the game to a close. This was Fryman's second homerun of the season. He also went 4-4, scored three runs, and tallied three RBI in the game.

With the game ending in seven innings,
Major Posey got his fourth win on the season in 4.1 innings pitched.

Game two had a similar start to the previous two games. Jeffcoat led off with a single. After making his way around the bases, he scored on a wild pitch. Jeffcoat earned his fourth RBI of the day after he hit a sacrifice fly that sent
Dean Hotz to score the go-ahead run.

Jeffcoat ended the day with four hits, four RBI and four runs scored.

Starting pitcher
Kade Manderscheid got the win and pitched his second complete game of the season. He finished with three strikeouts and moves up to 4-1.
