Box Score MOBILE, Ala. --- The University of West Florida women's soccer team (6-0-1 overall, 3-0 GSC) gained a win on the road after defeating Spring Hill, 4-0, Friday afternoon.

The first two goals occurred in the opening minutes of each half by
Mya Swinton. A quick goal was scored in under 10 minutes of the game after an
Ahnalie Layman, Swinton combination in the UWF attacking half. This is the second game in a row where Swinton scored the opening Argo goal.

UWF took a total of five shots and held the Badgers (4-4 overall, 1-2 GSC) to none in the first half to hold onto a 1-0 lead after the first 45 minutes of play.

Two minutes and change into the second half, Swinton fired another shot that found the back of the net. This is also her second two-goal game in a row. She now leads the team with six goals.

At the 60-minute mark,
Emilie Dueck Doerkesen found
Emma Beltz to take a 3-0 lead. Beltz has now recorded three total goals in three games. This is Dueck Doerkesen's second assist of the season – her first assist was to Beltz against Mississippi College (Sept. 15).

UWF's shots started falling in as midfielder
Julia Comin scored her second goal of the season in the 61
st minute. It has been since the season opener that Comin has found the back of the net. Swinton was awarded the assist. Â

Charline Favier recorded her first start in goal since December of 2021. Favier has seen time on the field in attacking positions this season but made her first appearance of the year in the net. Favier played a full 90 minutes.

The Badgers didn't take their first shot till the 67
th minute. The Argos held Spring Hill to no shots on target.

The Argos head back to Pensacola to take on Shorter and current top-25, Lee University on Friday, Sept. 29 and Sunday, October 1. Location of game's are TBD.
