Redshirt freshman Marcus Stokes was named the Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the GSC on Monday morning.

Stokes, the starting quarterback for the Argos had the best game of his collegiate career in a 40-28 win over Delta State on Saturday. The St. Augustine native went 17-of-21 for 326 yards and three touchdowns. Stokes also had 52 yards rushing with two touchdowns on the ground.

UWF (3-2, 2-1 GSC) will travel to North Carolina to take on Chowan on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT.
