PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida baseball team grabbed their 20
th win of the season after a 5-1 conference victory at home.

Dalton Neuschwander pitched a complete nine innings. He threw a no-hitter in four frames and held the Hawks to one hit through the opening four innings. Neuschwander improves to 4-2 on the mound.

Preston Moore began the scoring with a solo home run in the second inning. This was Moore's second home run of the season.
Â
UWF (20-10, 12-4) got a pair of runs in the third inning to extend the lead to 3-0.
Riley Parker and
Parker Tubb opened the inning with back-to-back hits to put runners on second and third.
Trent Jeffcoat hit an RBI ground out followed by a sac fly RBI from
Mark Townsend.

The Argos were held to one hit through the following four frames.

Townsend got the Argos out of the drought and added two more RBI to his name with an eighth inning double to increase the lead to 5-0.

The Argos were outhit by the Hawks (16-13, 7-12) 7-5. Five different Argos tallied a hit with Townsend leading the team with three RBI.

Jeffcoat,
Darrien McDowell and
Jadon Fryman each recorded a stolen base to help put Argos in scoring position. Two of the three stolen bases to second resulted in runs scored.

UWF recorded an incredible third base pick off from Neuschwander to Moore in the sixth inning to keep the Hawks scoreless. Shorter eventually tallied a run in the ninth inning off a ground out.

The Argos will finish the series with a 1:00 p.m. double header on Saturday, March 30 at Jim Spooner Field.
