PENSACOLA, Fla
- The UWF Men's soccer team hosted preseason regular Saint Leo this afternoon for their second season game. Each team was coming into today's game with a 0-1-0 record and was looking to get their first victory of the year. The Argos stunningly defeated the Lions, returning from a 3-2 deficit to win 5-3 in full-time.

The First 45:
Each team started strong as the possession was equally distributed however in the first 10 minutes the Lions were awarded a penalty kick after a foul occurred in the box. Saint Leo's Edorado Degl'Innocenti took the place at the spot and converted for the Lions to lead 1-0 early. Coming off of his goal from the previous game, Keegan Ancelin found himself in the perfect spot inside the box to finish a play from Jack Patching and Mar Aegisson to tie the game at 1-1. The senior Florida native finished the ball in the bottom left corner after Patching and Aegisson helped create the chance in the box.
A late substitution from the Argos brought in newcomer Mats Flock onto the field with just a few minutes to go in the half. After being awarded a corner, the ball came loose from the box and Flock found it at his feet. Flock struck the ball low and to the left corner from outside the box with just 40 seconds remaining in the half to put the Argo's up 2-1. This goal was his first in the blue and white.

The Second 45:
Despite coming off of a strong first half, the Argos quickly found themselves down by a goal as Saint Leo converted two quick goals within the same minute (49th) to flip the score to 3-2. A quick counterattack resulted in the Argos looking for a way to come back looking for more.
Just seven minutes later (56th minute), Marcus Pereira sent a left-footed out-swinging ball into the far back post from 35 yards out, and newcomer Mar Aegisson jumped over the Saint Leo defender to head the ball into the back of the net to tie the game at 3 all. The Iceland native secured his first goal in the blue and white and Marcus Pereira picked up his first assist of the season.
With the momentum on their side, the Argos continued to push through Saint Leo's defense. Their efforts came to fruition as a frustrated Lions defense awarded the Argos with a PK in the 68th minute of the match. Much like yesterday, senior Keegan Ancelin stepped up to the spot, and this time, struck the ball straight down the middle as the Lions goalkeeper guessed left. Ancelin now has three goals in two games for his senior season.
Just two minutes later, a foul called on the Argos resulted in a free kick on the left side of the box about 25 yards out. Thinking that Novaes would swing it in, the Argos had Jaime Guillen recieve a quick pass from the caption, dribble down the sideline, and cross it into the net. A deflection from the Lions secured the ball into the back of the net for the fifth goal on the day. The Argo defense remained strong and solidified the first win of the season.
