Argos Cruise to Victory in Crusaders Swim Classic

UWF Defeats All Three Teams

Hattiesburg, MS—
The Argos traveled to William Carey to take on three other teams for a weekend trip. They faced William Carey, Loyola New Orleans, and East Central Community College. The Argos secured their win against all three teams and are looking strong as they continue to prepare for the NSISC Championships. 

200 Medley Relay
The four core of Amanda Serger, Sam Packard, Taylor Messerschmitt, and Alena Rozova took first in the opening race for the Argos, with a total time of 1:50.29.

1000 Free
Freshman Ellie Dimig took first in the 1000 Free for the Argos as the Colorado native swam an impressive 11:03.01 to help add to the Argo's total score. 

200 Free
The Argos took first and second for their team as sophomore Aubrey Klausner took first, swimming a quick 2:01.12. Freshman Caroline Dimig finished just after Klausner, swimming a final time of 2:01.74.

100 Back 
Junior Amanda Serger took first in the race for the Argos swimming at 1:00.45. Amber Ewald finished third in the race, swimming a final time of 1:03.48.

100 Breast
Alena Rozova, the NSISC swimmer of the Month, took first, swimming a 1:05.55 in the 100 breast. Sam Packard came in second with a time of 1:08.42. 

200 Butterfly
Freshman Taylor Messerschmitt snagged first for the Argos as she swam a 2:14.19. Senior Sydney Dawson finished just behind Messerschmitt with a final time of 2:14.42.

50 Free
Sophomore Sam Packard took first for the Argos, swimming an impressive 25.31 to help add to the total. 

100 Free
Taylor Messerschmitt took first for the Argos again in the race, swimming a final time of 56.35.  Sophomore Aubrey Klausner took third with her final time of 57.34.

200 Back
Junior Amber Ewald took the first-place spot for the Argos as she finished with a final time of 2:16.17. Caroline Dimig finished second with a final time of 2:16.18.

200 Breast
Alena Rozova finished first in her heat with her impressive time of 2:22.76. Sara Lypko finished third in the race with her final time of 2:34.59.

500 Free
Aubrey Klausner finished first in her race for the Argos with a final time of 5:20.43.

100 Butterfly
Taylor Messerschmitt finished top of the pool again, with her third win of the day, swimming a 58.77 for the Argos. Sydney Dawson finished second in the heat with a final time of 1:01.47.

200 IM
Sara Lypko finished first in the race with her final time of 2:16.90.

400 Free Relay
The Argos finished strong in the final relay of the evening, as Aubrey Klausner, Ellie Dimig, Amber Ewald, and Caroline Dimig finished with a final time of 3:52.14.
