Box Score Pensacola Fla.- The University of West Florida men's soccer team delivered a 4-0 win over Spring Hill on Friday afternoon, clinching a spot in the GSC tournament.
It didn't take long for the Argos to get on the board. In just the 3rd minute, Adrian Rodriguez opened the scoring with a quick strike, assisted by Rafael Esteves, setting the tone for a dominant performance.
Fifteen minutes later, Esteves turned from provider to finisher, firing home a shot into the high center of the net in the 18th minute off a perfect setup from Callum Edwards. The duo struck again just two minutes later when Esteves buried his second goal of the night, this time finding the low left corner after another assist from Edwards, giving UWF a 3-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Argos sealed the victory late in the match when Miller Thorsen scored in the 88th minute, finishing low and center after a smooth assist from Flynn Haslor, capping off the 4-0 win.
UWF outshot Spring Hill 16-6, controlling possession and tempo throughout the match.
The Argos will look to carry this momentum into their next home matchup on Friday, October 31st, when they take on West Alabama at 7:30 p.m. for a special Halloween "Kick or Treat" night at the UWF Soccer Complex.
