TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Argos travelled to Florida State University on Friday afternoon to compete in their All-Florida Invite. The Argos beat the University of North Florida, 156-137. They also beat Florida Southern College, 191-100. The Argos fell to FSU 229-70.
Agata Naskret had an impressive meet for UWF. She helped her 200 Medley team come in second place. Naskret finished first in the 200 Back (2:01.09) and made an NCAA B cut. She then came in second in the 100 Back (56.48).
Freshman
Livia Rodrigues continues to prove to be a crucial member of this Argos team. In the 200 Fly, she swam a 2:03.25 and placed third and set a new freshman record. She also made an NCAA B cut in this event and the 100 Fly, with a time of 55.98. Rodrigues was also part of the 200 Medley Relay team that finished in second.
Alena Rozova made a new team record in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:13.64. Rozova broke her own record from last year.
Sofia Kendzior received an NCAA B cut for the 100 Free (51.37), and
Riley MacVane made an NCAA B cut for the 1000 Free (10:19.99).
In the diving well,
Katie Murphy competed in both 1 Meter and 3 Meter dives. She finished fifth in the 1 Meter with a score of 238.73. In the 3 Meter she finished fourth with a score of 267.68. Murphy received a qualifying score in the 3 Meter as well.
Olivia Nelson finished fourth in the 1 Meter with a score of 239.18.
The Argos travel to Thomas (Ga.) tomorrow, Oct. 25, to compete against Thomas (Ga.) and Ave Maria.
