PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF Men's Soccer season came to an end on Sunday afternoon as the Argos fell in a hard-fought battle to Rollins, 2-1, in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Argos were able to score first.
Rafael Esteves scored off a free kick in the 8
th minute, putting the Argos up 1-0.
UWF was able to keep the Tars from scoring until the end of the first half, when they went into the half tied 1-1.
Going into the second half, UWF took control of the ball but could not find the back of the net. The Tars scored again in the 86
th minute.
UWF finished the match with 14 shots and six corners. Esteves led with four shots and three on goal.
The team finished the season with a 13-2-5 overall record. This was the team's 11
th national tournament appearance in program history. This is also the sixth consecutive tournament appearance for the team.
