The UWF women's basketball team delivered a commanding performance on both ends of the floor, rolling to a 98–62 win over UPR Rio Piedras in a game that showcased depth, size, and relentless energy.
From the opening tip, the Argos imposed their will in the paint, using their size advantage to control the boards and generate good looks at the rim. No one embodied that interior dominance more than
Janai Jordan who spent the afternoon weaving through defenders for tough finishes, including multiple
and-one buckets. Her hustle translated just as strongly on defense, where she disrupted passing lanes and helped force force turnovers for Rio Piedras.
Offensively, UWF's rhythm never slowed. Isabel Grimes put together one of the standout performances of the game, filling the stat sheet with 17 points and 9 rebounds, providing a steady presence on both ends of the court.
The Argos' depth was on full display as every player on the roster saw the floor and every player scored. Among the highlights was Amelia Bell, with back-to-back spin-move layups in the paint, showcasing UWF's dominance near the rim.
With a strong offensive presence, tough defense, and contributions from the entire bench, the Argos controlled the pace from start to finish, securing a confident 98–62 victory.
The Argos next game is tomorrow November 25th at 2 p.m. against UPR Mayaquez in Puerto Rico.
