Moulton Reaches 1,000 Season Assists; Argos Win Final Home Match of Regular Season

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida volleyball team defeated West Alabama (25-10, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18) on Saturday afternoon in its final home match of the regular season. The Argonauts are now 23-5 overall and 16-2 in Gulf South Conference play.
 
West Florida came out firing, hitting .560 in a dominant 25-10 opening set. After dropping a tight second frame, the Argos regained control behind a balanced offensive attack to secure the match in four.
 
Emily Breazeale led the team with 12 kills and 12 digs for a double-double. Aniston Cochran followed with seven kills and two aces, while Kumara Flanagain added eight kills and two blocks. Gabi Moulton directed the offense with 44 assists and 12 digs putting her with over 1,000 assists in the 2025 season. This is the second consecutive season that Moulton has reached the 1,000 assist stat line. Magdalena Vongkasemsiri hit .333 with six kills and two blocks.
 
Defensively, Maddie Mire posted a match-high 30 digs, helping the Argos hold West Alabama to just a .107 hitting percentage. West Florida hit .252 as a team with 55 kills and 14 total blocks. The Argos also notched nine service aces on the afternoon.
 
The Argonauts will conclude the 2025 regular season on the road next weekend. The Argos will travel to Cleveland, Tennessee, to face Lee on Friday, November 14, at 5:30 p.m. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
