PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2025 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team and
Ja'Kobe Clinton was named a first team recipient. Three other Argos received Honorable Mention.
Clinton had 78 tackles on the season with 19 tackles for loss and seven sacks. He also had two interceptions, seven pass break ups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. In the Argos 31-24 road win over Northeastern State Clinton had nine tackles with 3.5 TFL's and a sack. Three games later Clinton posted another nine tackle game in a win over West Virginia St. that included three TFL's, two sacks, a fumble recovery and pass break up.
Clinton was the second leading tackler on the team and ranked top 20 in NCAA Division II in TFL's.
In the honorable mention selections the list included defensive back
Chester Fearon, wide receiver
Corey Scott, and quarterback
Marcus Stokes.
The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
