PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida baseball team fell to North Georgia in a seven-inning matchup Wednesday afternoon. After grabbing a walk-off victory Tuesday night at the Blue Wahoo Stadium, UWF followed with a 19-6 defeat.

The Nighthawks solidified the win after scoring a 10-run inning in the seventh frame.

"It's scattered. We need some offensive production and find a way to put it together. We need to figure out who we are," said head coach
Mike Jeffcoat.

UWF got on the board first in the opening frame.
Zack Stokes led off with a double and was brought in by an RBI outfield single from
Brett Rowell.
Â
North Georgia responded with a four-run inning in the third to take the lead. The Nighthawks continued to pounce with another four-run inning in the fifth to extend their lead 8-1.

UWF cut the lead in half in the bottom of the fifth. Two Argonauts were on base on two outs. Designated hitter,
Brantley Willis, soared a three RBI homer to bring the score to 8-4.

The Nighthawks sent 11 runs home in the final two innings to take a large lead and grab a run-rule victory.

"We have a lot of season left and still trying to develop the team," said Jeffcoat. "We'll learn a tough lesson from this hard loss and clean it up."

The Argos have a quick turnaround against newly GSC team, Trevecca Nazarene. The Argos will host the three-game conference series at Jim Spooner Field. Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. start times with Friday begin a doubleheader.
