BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UWF Athletics is the winner of the 2024-2025 Gulf South Conference Women's All-Sport Trophy, the conference office announced Monday evening.
The trophy is given annually to the athletic department that excelled the most in women's sports for that year, operating on a points system based on finish in conference standings and performance in conference tournaments. UWF finished with 49.375 points to win its 17
th Women's All-Sport trophy and 31
st overall. It is the first All-Sport Trophy for the Argos since 2018-2019.
The Argos finished second in the men's division, amassing 38.250 points. Valdosta State won the men's trophy with a final of 40.875. Lee is bringing home the Overall All-Sport Trophy with a total score of 117.125. The Argos finished right behind them at 114.875 overall.
UWF women's sports had an outstanding athletic year, winning regular season and tournament titles in soccer and volleyball and tournament championships in golf and softball. Women's Basketball made the NCAA Tournament and swimming and diving also won the NSISC championship, non-affiliated with the GSC.
