Belle Okoroafo Records her Second Shutout Against Tampa

PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Argos win their second shutout of the week after beating Tampa 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the UWF Soccer Complex.

The Argos were dominant in the first half with 12 shots and five corner kicks. Their first goal came early in the second half.

Transfer Kaitlyn Herb found the back of the net in the 54th minute to put the Argos up 1-0. This is Herb's first goal as an Argo.

"My teammates definitely help, and the communication between them, I would not have scored that goal without their help." Kaitlyn Herb said.

In the 77th minute, Mya Swinton was awarded a penalty kick. Olof Thorvaldsdottir was able to convert this to UWF's second goal.

The defense was able to hold the Spartans off for the rest of the half and give Belle Okoroafo her second shutout.

The Argos travel to Cleveland, Miss., to face Delta State in their first GSC matchup. They play Sept. 19 at 1:00 p.m.
