Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida men's soccer team turned in a dominant performance on Friday afternoon, cruising to a 3-0 win over Delta State in the first GSC matchup.

Manu Bernabeu led the charge for the Argonauts, netting two goals, while Kendrick Hernadez added a third to seal the shutout victory. UWF controlled the pace from the opening whistle, out shooting the Statesmen 16-1 and not allowing a single shot on goal.
Manu opened the scoring at the start of the first half, to give UWF the early lead. Just minutes later in the first half, Manu doubled the advantage with a big goal in the 15
th minute. Kendrick capped off the night with his goal in the second half assisted by Manu, to make it 3-0.
The Argonauts defense was rock solid throughout the match, holding Delta State to just one attempt at goal and keeping goalkeeper action to a minimum. With six shots on target and complete midfield control, UWF never allowed Delta a chance to gain momentum.
The win improves UWF's standing in the GSC as they continue to build momentum heading into the heart of conference play. The Argos will play next at Mississippi College on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
