CLINTON, Miss. – The No. 6 University of West Florida women's soccer team finished its trip to Mississippi with a 2-1 win over Mississippi College on Sunday afternoon.
The Choctaws were able to find the back of the net once in the first half.
Olof Thorvaldsdottir answered back early in the second half, with a goal in the 49
th minute, putting UWF on the board.
Gulf South Conference Offensive Player of the Week,
Alexis Castle, secured the Argos the win with a goal in the 59
th minute, bringing the Argos to a 2-1 lead.
UWF outshot Mississippi College 12-6, with six of those shots being on frame. They were also able to produce 12 corner kicks.
The Argos (4-0-2, 1-0-1 GSC) will travel to Spring Hill (Ala.) on Friday, Sept. 26, to play a 1 p.m. match.
