Argos Fall to Delta State

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF women's basketball team fell to Delta State, 78-65 on Saturday afternoon.

The game was evenly matched throughout the first three quarters.The Statesman led at the end of the first half by 7. This is when the Argos came out big in the third to go down by only one point.

Isabel Grimes led the Argos with 13 points and six rebounds. 

The fourth quarter is when the Statesman pulled ahead led by Kennedee Shelton who scored 22 points.

Along with Grimes, two other Argos were in double digits. Ebba Zalamans put up 11 points and Amelia Bell had 10 points.

UWF will play next at home against Union on February 19th at 5:30 p.m. for Mardi Gras game.
