CLINTON, Miss. — West Florida (3-4, 0-1 GSC) fell to MC (5-0, 2-0 GSC) 6-1 on Wednesday at the MC Tennis Complex. West Florida's lone singles victory came from the No. 3 position.

MC secured the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. Emily Buchanan and Ann Cabot Stockett defeated Carlota Verdu and Sandra Recuenco 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, while Rocio Martinez and Anna Hudson claimed a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles over Valerie Gomez and Kylie Kochis. West Florida's Aline Da Silva and Guadalupe Martinez ensured a win at No. 2 doubles with a 6-4 decision over Rune Van Wyk and Katharina Weber.

In singles, MC extended its lead with a win at No. 1 singles, where Buchanan defeated Verdu 6-4, 6-1. Martinez added another point for MC by overcoming Da Silva 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Recuenco provided West Florida with its lone singles victory at No. 3 singles, winning 6-2, 6-2 against Van Wyk.

MC continued its dominance as Weber rallied for a three-set victory over Martinez, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 singles. Hudson secured MC's overall match win by defeating Alberte Joergensen 6-3, 6-3 at No. 5 singles. At No. 6 singles, Stockett closed the competition with a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0(10-8) win over Kochis.
