PENSACOLA, Fla. — The No. 1 University of West Florida men's tennis team defeated Southern Arkansas 7-0 on Thursday at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carson Tennis Complex. West Florida secured the doubles point with victories at all three flights and swept all six singles matches.

Vicente Couto and
Mateo Martinez set the tone at No. 3 doubles with a 6-0 triumph over Taiki Minamino and Balsa Djokovic. The momentum continued as
Rafael Sabio and
Goncalo Quintela clinched the point with a 7-5 win at No. 2 doubles over Lucas Nitzschke and Frode Neumann.
Sebastian Rondon and
Diego Duran completed the sweep at No. 1 doubles, overpowering Jonas Sommer and Uwe Diehl, 6-0.
In singles play, the Argonauts extended their lead with a swift win from Martinez at No. 3 singles, defeating Djokovic 6-0, 6-0. Quintela added another point at No. 6 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Andreas Seidel. Rondon increased the Argonauts' advantage at No. 1 singles, beating Nitzschke 6-2, 6-1. Duran secured the match at No. 2 singles, overcoming Neumann 6-2, 6-1.
Mark Neyelov contributed to the home team's success with a comeback victory at No. 4 singles, defeating Diehl 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Sabio closed out the sweep for the Argonauts, prevailing in a hard-fought match at No. 5 singles, 7-6(7), 7-6(2) against Sommer.
