LIVINGSTON, Ala. — West Florida defeated West Alabama 4-3 on Saturday at the Vaughan Tennis Complex. West Florida secured the victory by winning four of the six singles matches.

West Alabama secured the doubles point with victories on courts two and three. Jacob Tapia and Federico Iturbe won 6-4 over Vicente Couto and Mark Neyelov at No. 2 doubles, while Maskim Goncharov and Afonso Portugal followed with a 6-4 decision against Rafael Sabio and Goncalo Quintela at No. 3 doubles. West Florida's Sebastian Rondon and Deigo Duran captured a 6-4 win against Gabriel Garay and Sebastiao Vilas at No. 1 doubles.

In singles, West Florida responded with a strong performance. Rondon tied the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Tapia at No. 1 singles. Duran added another point for West Florida by defeating Garay 0-6, 7-6, 6-1 in a three-set battle at No. 2 singles. West Alabama's Portugal answered with a win at No. 3 singles, overcoming Mateo Martinez 6-2, 6-2.

Couto and Sabio clinched the dual match for West Florida with their wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively. Couto rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory against Goncharov, while Sabio emerged victorious in three sets, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 over Iturbe. West Alabama's Vilas concluded the match by defeating Quintela 0-6, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6 singles.
