LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The University of West Florida (24-8, 15-7 GSC) travels to face No. 1 seed West Alabama (26-4, 19-3 GSC) in the Gulf South Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The No. 3 seed Argonauts enter the title game having won four of their last five conference matchups, including postseason victories over No. 6 seed Trevecca Nazarene and No. 7 seed Lee to secure their spot in the championship.
UWF last captured the GSC title during the 2017–18 season, when the Argonauts finished 28-4 overall with 17 conference wins. That championship remains the program's only GSC Tournament title.
West Alabama leads the all-time series 24-19 against UWF dating back to 2001. The teams split the regular-season series this year, with the Argonauts claiming the most recent meeting with a 78-75 victory in Livingston.
The Tigers secured the tournament's top seed after finishing with a league-high 26 wins, and home-court advantage after defeating Valdosta State and UAH in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
Following the game is the NCAA Selection Show where the seedings and location of the NCAA DII Regional Tournament will be announced.
