PENSACOLA, Fla. – Eleven University of West Florida student-athletes earned Gulf South Conference Spring All-Academic Team honors, the league announced.
To be eligible for a GSC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 throughout their academic career at their institution and cannot be a freshman or first-term transfer. Nominees must also be significant contributors to their teams, with leadership, community service and extracurricular involvement taken into consideration.
The teams are selected through a joint vote of the conference's faculty athletic representatives and sports information directors, with institutions prohibited from voting for their own student-athletes. The number of honorees selected in each sport is based on the number of positions typically involved in competition, and ties are not broken.
