Freshman
Brody Bruce led the Argos in his first collegiate race, with the Navarre native running a 15:55.4 official time in the men's 5K. The Argos placed six runners in the top 50 out of 164 runners, in a field consisting of several other regional Division I teams including Auburn, Jacksonville State, and Samford.
"We wanted the men to not back down from the start," Head Coach
Caleb Carmichael said. "They got out aggressive, and when the race got moving along about halfway, we faded some. We had a mix of guys who closed well, and I am excited for the pack running we were able to do. A little disappointed to not finish higher but it's the first race of a brand-new season, and it was good start."
