GSC Player of the Week - 3/3/15
2014-15: Griffin excelled during his junior season at West Florida... He appeared in all 28 games for the Argos and started 25... He finished second on the team with 11.1 points per game... Tied for the team lead with 6.4 rebounds per game, and third on the team with 2.0 assists per game... He led the team in points (312), rebounds (178), minutes (868), and steals (26)... During the 2014-15 season, Griffin set new career game highs in nine statistical categories including points (25, Feb. 28), rebounds (14, Jan. 3), and assists (5, Jan. 3)... Griffin totaled three double-doubles during the season... Named the GSC Player of the Week on 3/3 after scoring 25 points and recording 13 rebounds at Valdosta State.
2013-14: Medical redshirt.
2012-13: Appeared in all but four games on the season, 24 total, while starting six... Averaged 19.0 minutes per game... UWF's top player off the bench, recoring 5.3 points per game shooting 48.6 percent... Went 52-of-107 from the field... Shot 63.6 percent from the charity stripe... Collected 82 rebounds, averaging 3.4 per game... Handed out 33 assists with 14 steals... Had five double-digit scoring performances, including a career-high 16 points against Valdosta State (1/19)... His lone double-double came against North Alabama (1/31) with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
2011-12: Medical redshirt.
2010-11: Made 19 appearances in his rookie season, scoring 42 points, averaging 2.2 points per game… shot 65.4 percent (17-for-26) from the floor and hit 55.6 percent (5-for-9) from three-point range… a crafty defender, tallying seven steals… scored a season-high nine points against King (11/19) and Alabama-Huntsville (1/13)… added a season-best five rebounds in the UAH game… aollected a pair of steals against UCF (11/12) and Barry (12/19).
High School: Lettered for two seasons at Jean Ribault Senior HS... averaged 14.3 points and 10.2 rebounds per game... was a two-time All-Gateway Conference selection, as well as a two-time Class 3A District 2 Player of the Year... named second team all-state as a senior... led Ribault to the 2010 Gateway Conference and District 2 Championships... named a Trojan Scholar after posting a 3.3 GPA.
Personal: Son of Lendward and Beverly Griffin... has three siblings, Lametria, Daniela and Fabian... majoring in Sports Management.
