Fall 2010: Competed in five races as a freshman … Had a 5k season best time of 17:13.05 as he finished 22nd overall at the Azalea City Classic (9/18) … Finished 21st overall at the MC / Watson Ford Invitational (10/8) with a time a 28:25.51, a second best time in the 8k.
High School: Posted personal best of 16:34 at the NIKE cross Nationals southeast regional event … Turned in a 16:45 at the state cross country meet his senior season … Has personal bests of 2:03 for 800 meters, 4:29 for 1600 meters and 10:16 for the 3200 meters ... Coached by Randy Hollinger for seven years.
Personal: Son of Jeff and Deloris Jernigan … Has one brother, Ryan, who is currently in the Marines … Also participated in little league baseball … Majoring in marine biology.
