2015: Appeared in 16 games all out of the bullpen … Had a 9.85 ERA in a total of 24.2 innings, struck out 23 batters, walked 14, and posted a 2-4 record with a two saves (tied for second on the team) … Finished 10 games (tied for second) … Threw at least 1.0 inning in 12 appearances, including a career-high four at William & Mary (March 10) and did not allow an earned run in six of them … Inherited 14 runners (fourth most) and allowed six to score for a 57.1 percent held rate … Struck out at least two batters four times, including a career-high six batters twice … Pitched a total of 15 scoreless innings, including 6.0 consecutive … Also, threw four perfect frames, struck out the side once, and, at one point, retired seven straight batters.
2014: Appeared in 24 games all out of the bullpen … Had a 4.50 ERA in a total of 28.0 innings, struck out 14 batters, walked 14, and posted a 1-2 record with two saves … Opponents hit just .218 against him (second lowest on the team) and allowed just three extra-base hits (two doubles and a triple) … Threw at least 1.0 inning in 17 appearances and did not allow an earned run in 13 of them … Inherited a team-high 33 runners and allowed just nine to score for a 72.7 percent held rate (best on the team with more than 10 inherited) … Struck out at least two batters four times … Pitched a total of 13 scoreless innings, including 7.1 consecutive … Also, threw seven perfect frames and, at one point, retired 14 straight batters (second-best on the team) ... In ACC-only games, posted the lowest ERA on the team at 2.76 (min. five IP) with just five earned runs over 16.1 innings.
2013: Appeared in eight games all out of the bullpen … Posted a 7.71 ERA in a total of 11.2 innings and struck out six batters … Combined on one shutout … Threw at least 1.0 innings in six relief outings and did not allow an earned run in three of them … Struck out at least two batters once … Pitched a total of eight scoreless innings, including 6.0 consecutive … Also, threw four perfect frames, struck out the side once, and, at one point, retired nine straight batters.
High School: First team All-Conference, All-Region and All-State as a sophomore and a senior… Two-time player of the year at North Stafford HS… Member of two district championship teams at NSHS… Third all-time in the state of Virginia with 26 wins and 361 strikeouts.
