2016 (SENIOR): Capped one of the strongest defensive careers in UWF history with AVCA All-America honors and becoming UWF’s all-time career digs leader with 1,887… Finished second in the GSC with 4.73 digs per set and led the league with 629 total digs… Recorded a career-high 35 digs in five-set match against Central Missouri, good for the second most of any match in UWF history… Broke her own single-season digs record of 572 (2015) with 629 in 2016… Finished season 20^th in NCAA Division II among active career digs leaders… Posted 11 matches with 20 or more digs… Finished second on the team with 100 assists, including a season-high nine against Metro State… Second on the team with 27 service aces… Helped UWF to a GSC-best .127 opponent hitting percentage in conference play… Concluded career third in games played with 451… Finished with 87 career service aces, good for 10^th most in UWF history… Only player in UWF history to record multiple 500+ dig seasons… Only player in program history to have three career matches with 30+ digs.

2015 (JUNIOR): Led the Gulf South Conference in digs (572) and digs per set (4.97) … Ranked 74^th in the nation in digs per set … Ranked fifth on the team in service aces (19) and service aces per set (0.19) … Tallied a .978 reception percentage with only nine reception errors out of 408 attempts … Tallied a season-high 34 digs at Shorter (9/26/15) … Led the team in sets played (115).

2014 (SOPHOMORE): Led the team in digs (335) … Tallied a season-high 19 digs on four separate occasions … Played in 31 matches.

2013 GSC Fall Academic Honor Roll

2013 (FRESHMAN): Martella played in 30 matches as a freshman… Finished fourth in GSC and led the team in digs with 352, averaging 3.74 digs per set… Second on team with 487 service returns with only 20 errors for a .959 clip… Led team in digs with 352 for the season, averaging 3.74 per set.

High School: Four-year letterwinner as an outside hitter and libero for Providence HS ... 299 kills and 100 service aces along with 361 digs in 2012 ... Landed on all-tournament teams for The Bolles Tournament and Gator-Town Classic and has experience playing internationally with Florida High Performance Youth International Team ... Providence HS’s Player of the Year in 2011.
