Club: Played for Austin Performance ... Team captain for three years … took second place at 2014 Lone Star Classic.
 
High School: Tallied 570 kills and 30 solo blocks as the team captain of Westwood High School in her senior season … Selected to 2015 All-Central Texas First Team … Was an All-District 13-6A First Team selection and was also the District 13-6A Outstanding Hitter … Led the district in kills and was also an academic all-district selection in 2015 … Led Westwood HS to an area championship and a runner-up finish in the district championship in 2015 … Was named MVP of Westwood High School volleyball team … Was selected as the District 13-6A Newcomer of the Year as a junior and was also the All-Central Texas Newcomer of the Year … Markes contributed a team-high 404 kills during her first varsity season with the Lady Warriors as a junior … Recorded 304 digs and 45 aces for a Westwood team that reached the third round of the Class 6A playoffs and were area champs in 2014 … Was named to the Fraulein Fest All-Tournament Team in 2014.
 
Personal: Daughter of Dana and Peter Markes … Has one sibling Colin Markes … Her brother, Colin, plays tennis at the University of Texas at Austin … Her father played tennis at Weber State … Was a defensive specialist in high school before converting to the outside hitter position … Member of Club Fred Sand Volleyball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Younglife, the National Charity League and Pacesetters.
