2018 GSC Spring Academic Honor Roll

2018 (Senior): Posted a 2.65 ERA in 16 games, spanning 37.1 innings for the year... Had a 2-1 record and struck out 43 batters while walking just 9... Threw complete game in his only start of the year, going the full 9 against Montevallo in the GSC Tournament, while striking out 8, walking only 1 batter, and giving up just 5 hits... Threw 7.2 innings of relief against Valdosta State (4/29), striking out 9 batters and giving up just one run... Did not allow a run from 3/12-4/18, a stretch that spanned 8.1 innings, with just five total hits allowed, two walks, and 9 strikeouts... Picked up win against Lee (4/7) after throwing 3.0 scoreless innings of relief, allowing just two hits and striking out five... Threw 16.2 innings and posted a 1.62 ERA in GSC contests, striking out 22 batters and walking just 2.

2017 (Redshirt Junior, South Ala.): Went 3-2 across 15 appearances for South Alabama and posted a 5.55 ERA...Struck out 24 and walked 9 across 24.1 innings pitched... Went 2-1 with a 6.75 ERA in Sunbelt Conference games... Struck out 14 and walked 5 in 14.1 conference innings pitched

2016 (Redshirt Sophomore, South Ala.):  Went 1-2 with a 5.48 ERA in nine relief appearances ... Struck out 12 batters and issued three walks in 21 1/3 innings pitched ... Did not allow a run in four of his nine appearances ... Posted a 2.45 ERA in four SBC appearances, and recorded seven strikeouts in 11 innings pitched ... Struck out two in one inning of work in his Jaguar debut against Middle Tennessee (3/4) ... Tossed a career-high 5 1/3 innings against Louisiana-Lafayette (5/15) ... Struck out a career-high five batters in three innings at Troy (5/20).

Junior College (NW Florida State):  Lettered one year at Northwest Florida State Junior College in Niceville, Fla. ... Helped the Raiders capture the 2015 JUCO World Series ... Went 2-4 with a 2.15 ERA in 11 appearances, nine of which were starts ... Recorded 38 strikeouts against 11 walks in 46 innings pitched.

2014 (Mississippi State):  Redshirted the 2014 season at MSU, where he originally signed out of high school.

High School:  Lettered four years at Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola, Fla. ... Helped the Crusaders capture the 2013 national championship, which was chosen by USA Today, and back-to-back state championships in 2012-13 ... Went 12-0 with a 0.74 ERA and 95 strikeouts against 15 walks in 75 2/3 innings as a senior to earn 2013 Louisville Slugger High School first-team All-America honors as well as MaxPreps Baseball Medium Schools first-team All-America accolades … Named the Florida High School Atheltic Association class 4A Player of the Year and Pensacola News Journal Player of the Year his senior season … Finished 9-1 with a 1.45 ERA, 112 strikeouts and 23 walks in 77 1/3 innings pitched as a junior … Went 3-1 with a 1.89 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched as a sophomore … PCHS earned a state runner-up finish his sophomore season.
