Biography

College: Enrolled at West Virginia following high school (Spring 2017) … Transferred to Akron before fall camp 2017 ... Transferred to UWF in January 2021.

2021 (R-Jr.): Started 10 of 11 games at TE, finishing with 7 catches for 96 yards an 1 TD ... Season-long 28-yard reception in the season opener at McNeese State (9/4/2021) ... Had two receptions for 22 yards and a 2-yard TD vs. Shorter (10/23/2021).

2020 (R-Jr. at Akron): Appeared in three games, making two receptions for 19 yards … Had a 4-yard catch against Western Michigan (11/4/20) … Hauled in a 15-yard reception at Kent State (11/17/20).

2019 (R-So. at Akron): Played in seven games with five starts at tight end ... had five receptions for 68 yards and two touchdowns ... against Buffalo, had a two-yard rush and two receptions for 30 yards ... against Troy, scored the Zips’ only touchdown, a 21-yard touchdown reception in the first quarter ... at Central Michigan, caught a five-yard touchdown pass to end the first half ... at Illinois, saw significant playing time but recorded no stats. 

2018 (R-Fr. at Akron):  Played in all 12 games with one start at tight end … on the season, had four receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown … in his collegiate debut, had a six-yard reception in the win over Morgan State … in the stunning win at Northwestern, caught one pass– a 26-yard touchdown, the first of his collegiate career ...  made his first appearance in the starting line-up at Buffalo ... had an 18-yard reception … had a 10-yard reception against Bowling Green … lettered … named the Unsung Hero on offense following spring drills.

2017 (Fr. at Akron): Sat out the 2017 season per the NCAA transfer rules. 

PREP: Three-year letterwinner at linebacker and running back for coach Matt Lacey at Morgantown HS … finished prep career with 302 tackles and five sacks … as a senior in 2016, had 89 tackles, two sacks, and 12 TFL … Honorable Mention All-State and an All-OVAC selection … helped Morgantown to a 10-3 record, advancing to the state semifinals … as a junior and sophomore, second-team All-State and an All-OVAC selection … also lettered in basketball.

PERSONAL:  Born December 31, 1997 … Son of Kathleen and Dale Wolfley … Has three brothers – Stone, Jaden and Kyle – and a younger sister, Talley … Father and brother Stone played football at West Virginia … Father was a standout performer on the offensive line for WVU on the 1988 team that played for the national championship … Uncle Ron Wolfley was also a former Mountaineer standout at fullback and for almost 10 years in the NFL, including four years as an NFL Pro Bowl selection … Uncle, Craig Wolfley, also played in the NFL for 12 seasons with the Steelers & Minnesota Vikings, and is currently the Steelers' Radio Color Analyst ... Grandfather Ray Mansfield started at the University of Washington and played 14 years in the NFL, including 13 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
