What are the requirements to try out?
(1) All participants in the UWF football tryout must be currently enrolled as a
full-time student at the University of West Florida. Full-time students at UWF must take a minimum of 12 undergraduate or 9 graduate credit hours per semester during the fall and spring semesters to be eligible for athletic competition. For admission requirements, visit uwf.edu.

The tryout for walk-ons is a competition for a spot on the team, not for a scholarship. Students that make the team through the tryout may earn a scholarship at a later date, but that is not guaranteed.
What are the coaching staff's expectations for the student-athletes?
The football coaching staff is looking for young men that will be positive representatives of the University of West Florida on and off the field. The coaching staff expects every Argonaut to act with integrity and compete to the best of his ability. Dedication in the classroom will be a priority, as one of the team's goals will be to maintain a combined team grade point average of 3.0.
What criteria will be used to evaluate each participant?
(1) character, attitude and coachability
(2) current grade point average
