New York Mets: (2014) Began the season with the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s where he posted a 1-3 record and a 4.50 ERA in 34 relief innings... struck out 28 and walked 11... finished the season with Double-A Binghampton where he recorded a 2-0 record and 3.13 ERA in 23 relief innings... struck out 28 and walked five.
(2013) Went 2-4 with a 3.44 ERA, 13 walks and 41 strike outs in 36.2 innings with the Double-A Binghampton Mets before being promoted to the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s... went 3-0 with a 3.21 ERA and a .267 BAA, struck out 27 and walked 13 in 28 innings... recorded a career-high three saves for Las Vegas.
(2012) Went 2-2 with Port St. Lucie... posted a 2.97 ERA and a .241 BAA, struck out 53 and walked 27 in 57.2 innings.
(2011) Went 5-2 with Port St. Lucie... posted a 4.03 ERA and a .258 BAA, struck out 46 and walked 31 in 73.2 innings.
(2010) Started the season with the class A Savannah Sand Gnats of the South Atlantic League... in his rookie season posted a 1-4 record with a 5.40 ERA fanning 34 batters in 30 innings and while holding opponenets just a .287 average... in 2010 posted a 7-2 record with a 2.64 ERA striking out 76 batters and holding opponents to a .228 average... in 2011 he posted a 5-2 record with a 4.03 for the Port St. Lucie Mets and held opponents to a .258 average...
(2009) After the Draft he was assigned to the Brooklyn Cyclones of the New York-Penn League where he tossed one inning of relief and was moved up to the Single-A Savannah Sand Gnats. With the Sand Gnats he compiled a 1-4 record out of the bullpen with a 5.28 ERA in 29 innings pitched. In 21 appearances he struck out 34 batters and compiled a 1.655 WHIP (walks+hits/innings pitched).
2009: Selected by the New York Mets in the 23rd round as the 704th overall selection in the 2009 MLB First Year Player Draft.... Named to the NCBWA All-America Third Team... NCBWA All-South Region First Team... Selected to the ABCA/Rawlings All-South Region First Team...Named to the Daktronics All-South Region Second Team... Named to the GSC Second Team... In his first year with the Argos, Church compiled a team low and GSC low 1.55 ERA... Made a team high 21 appearances, 18 coming out of the bullpen... Second on the team in innings pitched with 75.1... Led the team in strikeouts with 92 and held opponents to just a .211 average, lowest of all pitchers on the team...Allowed just two runs on four hits in 4.2 innings of relief work to earn his first Argonaut win in the season opener against Rollins (2/1)... Tossed a season high eight strong innings of relief work in a 15 inning 7-6 win over Florida Southern, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out a season high12 (2/7)... Pitched four shutout innings of relief to earn his third win of the season in 6-3 victory over Quincy (2/22)... Struck out a total of nine batters and eight straight at point to earn the win in four hitless innings of relief work at North Georgia (4/1)... Picked up his first Argonaut save in a 5-3 win over GSC rival West Alabama (4/4).... Earn a win in his first start as an Argonaut against Division I Mississippi Valley State, tossing seven shutout innings, scattering three hits while striking out eight (4/18)...Tossed seven strong innings, allowing just two runs while striking out seven in the Argos 9-2 win over No. 1 seed Delta State in the GSC tournament (5/4)...
2008: Attended Polk Community College... Named Pitcher of the Year in 2008...Compiled a 4-7 record with a 5.02 ERA his sophomore season... Led the team in innings pitched with 66.1 and was second on the team with 64 strikouts... Opponents hit just .183 off him as a sophomore...
High School: Lettered three years in baseball as a pitcher/first baseman and two years in football as an outside linebacker for Lake Whales HS... Posted a 6-2 record with a 1.43 ERA... Named Pitcher of the Year... Part of a district championship team in 2003
Personal: Son of Cheryl Pado and Mike Church... Has a sister, Callie who plays softball...Enjoys being active and outdoors... Plans on opening up his own physical therapy practice after graduation...
