2015 American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings South Region Gold Glove Team

2015: Appeared in 45 of UWF's 48 games, making 44 starts... hit .284 with 15 runs, five doubles and 24 RBI... tied for fourth all-time with 11 sacrifice bunts in a single season at UWF... currently tied for eighth all-time with 15 career sac bunts... maintained a perfect fielding percentage in 361 chances, making 329 putouts with 32 assists... allowed just 14 stolen bases while catching 10 runners for a .583 stolen base allowed percentage.

2014: In his second season as the backup catcher, started 17 games and appeared in 21... hit .200 with four runs scored and seven RBIs... maintained a perfect fielding percentage... threw out 21.4 percent of potential base stealers... went 3-for-4 with one run and 2 RBIs vs. Valdosta State in the GSC Tournament.

2013: Performed well as the team’s backup catcher, starting 19 games and seeing action in 30… hit .277 at the plate… did not commit an error behind the plate and threw out 35 percent of potential base stealers… West Florida was 17-2 when Hamner started behind the plate… hit 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI at Delta State (3/3)… hit 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Mississippi Valley State (3/13).

High School: Attended Edgewater High School in Orlando, Fla. and played catcher for the baseball team… hit .400 as a senior, .343 as a junior and .415 as a sophomore… as a senior earned first team all-metro, as well as earning his team’s MVP award… earned the silver slugger award as a junior and also earned all-area honorable mention and Florida region honorable mention… named to the Perfect Game Florida Region honorable mention team… led Edgewater to a district championship as a senior.

Personal: Son of Pam and Dwayne Hamner… has two siblings, Ryan and Troy… his brother Ryan is a pitcher for Lenoir-Rhyne University… played in the Little League World Series in 2005 for the Maitland, Fla. team that advanced to the United States semifinals… enjoys all sports and outdoor activities.
