<p><strong>Atlanta Braves:</strong> Drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 36th round as the 917th pick overall.... Played one season in affiliated rookie ball with the Idaho Falls Braves of the Pioneer League... Compiled a 3-2 record with a 5.48 ERA in 15 appearances in 46 innings of work on the mound while making five starts</p><p><strong>UWF:</strong> Randy was a two-sport performer at Sylvan Hills HS in Little Rock, Ark.  He was All-Conference in both basketball and baseball as a junior, and All-State in baseball his junior and senior years. After redshirting at the University of Arkansas as a freshman, Randy played two years a West Arkansas CC and was drafted as an outfielder in January 1985 by the Cincinnati Reds.  In the summer of 1985, he was chosen to represent the United States on the &quot;Athletes In Action&quot; baseball team, which was involved in an overseas Christian ministry.</p><p><strong>1986:</strong> Batted .324 in 49 games for the Argos... Knocked six doubles and two triples with 19 RBI...On the mound, Randy was 4-1 with one save in 52 innings pitched... Posted a 3.29 ERA in 11 appearances</p>
