Jordan Remsza is entering his fourth season at UWF as Defensive Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator after returning to Pensacola in December 2022.
Defensively, Remsza has been a key architect of UWF’s national success. Under his direction, the Argos have consistently ranked among the nation’s best in total yards per play allowed, passing yards per play, sacks, tackles for loss, forced fumbles, and third-down defense. In 2025, UWF ranked #11 nationally in total defense and #1 in the GSC, while also finishing #8 nationally in turnovers gained (26) and #3 nationally in third-down conversion defense, leading the conference in both categories. His secondary has produced multiple All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American performers.
On special teams, Remsza has built one of the most explosive and efficient units in Division II. In 2025, UWF ranked among the nation’s best across multiple special teams categories:
- Punt Average — #15 nationally
- Net Punt Average — #17 nationally
- Punt Return TDs — #1 in the GSC
- Blocked Punts — #4 nationally
- Net Kickoff Average — #1 in the GSC
Under his guidance, UWF has broken multiple school records in punt return average, kickoff return average, punt return touchdowns, and punt return yards in both single-season and single-game categories, while also placing among the top of the GSC record books in several special teams metrics.
Notable players developed under Remsza include:
- Chester Fearon (DB, 2025) — Earned Associated Press Second Team All-American and Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-American honors. -Second in the Gulf South Conference with five interceptions, anchoring a turnover-producing secondary.
- Virgil Lemons (2024) — All-American Punt Returner and All-Region cornerback; signed with the Tennessee Titans after leading the nation in punt return average and setting both UWF and GSC records for punt return yards.
- Roderick Webb — DB (Second Team All-GSC)
- Tony Newsome — DB (Second Team All-GSC)
- Patrick Delcour — All-Conference Special Teams Utility selection
- Logan Gregory (2024) — All-Conference and All-Region punter; set the UWF single-season punt average record.
- Jay Sharp (2024) — All-Conference return specialist; led the GSC and ranked top-10 nationally in kick return average (33.0), breaking the UWF single-season record.
- Anthony Ballard (2024) — All-Conference Special Teams Utility selection.
- Quincy Milhomme (2023) — All-Region and All-Conference safety.
Before returning to UWF, Remsza served as Defensive Backs Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Quincy University (2022), developing two All-GLVC defensive backs. Earlier that year, he coached defensive backs at Faulkner University.
From 2019–2021, Remsza was a graduate assistant at UWF, coaching outside linebackers on the 2019 National Championship defense, where his unit totaled 18 sacks and produced All-Conference and All-Region performer Trent Archie.

- Independence Community College (2017–18) — Assistant DB Coach & Recruiting Coordinator; helped lead ICC to its first KJCCC title in over 30 years and was featured on Last Chance U.
As a player, Remsza was a First Team All-Conference defensive back at Ripon College (2015), finishing his career with 161 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions, 22 pass breakups, and three forced fumbles/recoveries. He remains tied for eighth in school history for single-game interceptions.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Remsza earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology with minors in sociology and history from Ripon College in 2016.
