Rob Schlaeger is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach at UWF in 2016. He will coach linebackers for the Argonauts.

He previously spent five seasons at Southwest Minnesota State from 2011-15. The Mustangs went 8-3 in 2015, marking their best season since moving to Division II status in the mid-1090s. The 2013 squad appeared in the Mineral Water Bowl with a 7-4 mark.

Schlaeger, a native of Spencer, Iowa, graduated from SMSU in 2015 with a degree in sports management. He is pursuing a master in human performance technology at UWF.
