2016-17: Started 15 games before suffering season ending injury... Averaged 29 minutes per game... Scored season-high 24 points 01/07 vs. Shorter... Averaged 13.8 points per game... Recorded three double-doubles on the season... Finished career with a 49.5 field goal percentage —10th best in program history.
2015-16: Somerfield finished his junior season first on the team in points, averaging 15.3 per game in 26 contests on the year...First in field-goals made with 141 in 280 attempts…First on the team in rebounds with 232, averaging 8.9 per game…Second on the team with 49 assists, averaging 1.9 per game… Third on the team with 13 blocks on the year, averaging 0.5 per game… Finished third on the team with 22 steals, averaging 0.8 per game… Had a career high 35 points at Fort Valley State (11/14/15)... Finished season ninth in GSC in scoring, second in rebounds, fourth in FG%, and fourth in minutes per game.

2014-15 (So. at Owens Community College):
Appeared in 32 games with 21 starts at Owens CC in Perrysburg, Ohio for coach Dave Clark ... Finished the season with 231 points, 165 rebounds, 38 assists, 29 steals and 22 blocks ... Averaged 7.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game ... Shot 50.3 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from 3-point range and 66.2 percent from the foul line ... Averaged 9.2 ppg and 5.4 rpg In Ohio Community College Athletic Conference (OCCAC) play ... Recorded 10 games in double figures ... Scored a season-high 17 points against Edison (2/14/15) and a season-high 10 rebounds twice ... The Express went 25-7 and reached the Region XII Disctrict 11 championship game.
2013-14 (Fr. at Grand Valley State):
Saw action in 18 games as the Lakers went 19-9 ... Averaged 1.2 ppg (55 total) in 5.4 mpg ... Shot 9-for-16 (56.3 pct) from the field and 4-for-11 (36.4 pct) at the foul line ... Had a season-best five points twice, against Northwood and at Northern Michigan.
High School:
Was a 4-year letter winner at Greenville (Mich.) HS ... Averaged 16.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.2 blocks and one assists per game, while shooting 60 percent from the field and 74 percent from the foul line in 2011-12 ... Led the Jackets to a 19-2 record and an O-K White conference championship ... Named Second Team All-Area in Grand Rapids and Honorable Mention All-Michigan ... As a junior, he averaged 8.9 points and five rebounds per game in a 15-7 season.
