2020-2021 (SR): Selected as a second team All-Conference member...Played in all 19 games, starting in all 19....Led Argos in total minutes (669), minutes per game (35.2), total rebounds (162), rebounds per contest (8.5) and steals (28)...Mckelphin also tied for the team-lead in points per game (15.2)...Paced the GSC in rebounds per game, and finished in the top 10 of the conference in points per contest, field goal percentage, blocks, steals and minutes played...Was a two-time GSC player of the week (12/15 & 2/2)...Scored 33 points against Shorter (1/29) and 32 against Lee (12/15) which were two of the top-five scoring games by an individual in the GSC...Moved into the top 10 in Argo history in scoring in a single contest with his 33 against Shorter...Recorded a double-double nine times, which was third in all of Division II...

2020 NABC Honors Court 

2019-2020 (JR): Appeared in 25 games, making 18 starts in his first season with the Argos... Had points and rebounds per game averages of 10.4 and 5.7, respectively...Notched a season-high 23 points on 10 of 14 shooting against AUM in late January...Scored 20 points on two other occasions (MC 1/11, VSU 2/29) with 22 coming in win over Mississippi College...Recorded season-high in rebounds with 10 in win over MC (1/11)

PRIOR TO UWF: Averaged 13.2 points and 7.6 rebounds per game at Paris JC, while shooting 44 percent from the floor and 40 percent from the three-point line. The wing man scored a season-high 28 points against North Lake in 2018-19, scored in double figures 19 times last season, and added 8 more games with double-digit rebounds.

BURKHAMER ON MCKELPHIN: "Tarik is an outstanding addition to our team. He is a big-time athlete who can score in a variety of ways. He is very good at getting to the paint, he can make jump shots in three-point range, and should be an outstanding rebounder and defender for us. His size and skill level will translate well to the Gulf South Conference."
