Miles Erwin is entering his third year as an assistant coach for the UWF cross country program.  He completed his master's degree in Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science in May 2009 and was promoted from Graduate Assistant Coach to Assistant Coach.

Erwin previously competed as an Argonaut under Head Coach Matt Dobson. Erwin assists with practices, recruiting, and coordinating travel. Miles earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at the University of West Florida. He is also USA Track and Field Coaching Level 1 Certified.

Erwin ran for the UWF cross country team from 2004 to 2006, highlighted by a GSC Academic Honor Roll selection.  He lettered in cross country and track and field in high school and received Sunshine Athletic Conference Honorable Mention accolades.  Erwin acted as the captain of the cross country team, and he finished 12th at the state qualifiers.

Erwin is the son of Richard and Andrea Erwin and has three siblings, Richard, Martina, and Christina.  Erwin served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000 to 2004.
