2014-15 NSISC Scholar Athlete
2014-15: Set a new school record in the 200-yard butterfly (2:06.24) at the NSISC Championships… also posted the third fastest time in school history in the 500-yard freestyle (5:05.72) and the fifth fastest in the 100-yard butterfly (59.03) at the conference meet… also ranked in the team’s top 10 in the 100-yard freestyle (54.09) and 200-yard freestyle (1:56.43)… earned NSISC Scholar Athlete status.
High School: Holds the Kennesaw Mountain High School record in the 100m Butterfly and the 400m Freestyle Relay… was named the 2014 team MVP… named to the 2013 Georgia All-State 1st Team… was named to the 2013 All-County team for Cobb County… won the Georgia HS 6A State Championship for the 400m Relay in 2013.
Personal: Daughter of Garrett and Laura Layde… has two siblings; Garrett and Molly… father played football at Georgia Southwestern University… enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, and relaxing in a hammock… plans to pursue a career in the neonatal unit and attend graduate school.
