Graduate Assistant Coach Jenny Bellairs

Jenny Bellairs

Jenny Bellairs successfully made the transition from student-athlete to student assistant coach under head coach Mellissa Wolter in 2014 and to a graduate assistant coaching position in 2015. Bellairs brought her specific knowledge of coach Wolter’s system and her years of experience at the net to a young Argonauts team, and was able to help guide the team to an NCAA playoff appearance after a 24-8 season.

Bellairs focus was primarily with the middle blockers, the position she excelled at for UWF. In her first year as a coach she was able to help mentor her former teammate Sarah Scott to finish the season with the second most blocks in the Gulf South Conference. She was also able to help raise the play of freshman Emily Cosgrove, who finished the year in second place for blocks per set.

During her career as a player for UWF Bellairs was named to the all-GSC tournament team three straight years, earning all-south regional honors and an All-American honorable mention in her senior season. At the end of her playing career in 2013, Bellairs was No. 9 in kills all-time for UWF and No. 3 in all-time blocks.
