Joshua Reeves joined the men's basketball staff at the University of West Florida as Director of Basketball Operations in July 2026.

In his role, Reeves assists with the day-to-day operations of the UWF men’s basketball program. His responsibilities include on the floor coaching, coordinating team travel and scheduling, assisting with practice preparation, supporting recruiting logistics and handling other administrative duties.

“Coach Reeves is a relentless worker,” said head coach Tanner Smith. “He gives his time, energy, and passion to players and any program he has been a part of. We are delighted to welcome him to the Argo family.”

Reeves came to Pensacola after spending two seasons on the men’s basketball coaching staff at Ferrum College where he serves as an assistant coach and the head developmental coach. He joined the Panthers’ staff in July 2024 after previously playing two seasons at Ferrum from 2020-22.

Before returning to his alma mater, Reeves spent two seasons as an assistant boys basketball coach at George Wythe High School in Wytheville, Virginia. In his first season with the program, he helped lead the Maroons to a 26-4 record and a runner-up finish in the 2023 Virginia High School League Class 1 State Championship Tournament. The following season, George Wythe finished 20-8 and advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2024 VHSL Class 1 State Tournament.

Reeves also worked as a basketball instructor for Point Guard College camps during the summer of 2023, helping instruct more than 150 athletes during each session.

A former Ferrum student-athlete, Reeves earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Fitness Management in December 2022 and completed a minor in athletic coaching.
